Michael John Nell, age 61, born September 22, 1948 in Springfield, IL. Long time resident of Grandview Heights, retired from WESCO Distribution. Michael died July 9, 2010 peacefully in his sleep at Crown Point Care Center after a long courageous battle with Kidney Disease and Multiple Sclerosis. Michael was a U.S. Navy Submarine Veteran, serving on the U.S.S. Gudgeon and the U.S.S. Remora. He was preceded in death by his father James E. Nell, Jr. brother James E. Nell, III and life long friend, James Butler Evans. Survived by mother Patricia Sallee Nell, Wife Kathy Ferguson-Nell, Twin sons Aaron Michael Nell and Erik Butler (Christy) Nell, daughter Angela Sallee Larsen. Grandchildren Noah Michael Nell, Alek Ferguson Nell, Christina Larsen, Myra and Zach Marcum. Sisters Susan Minor, Kelly (Randy) Stone, and Brother Patrick Nell. Services will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 11 a.m. The Chapel at Forest Lawn Memorial Garden, 5600 E. Broad St. Columbus, Ohio. Burial immediately following.
