Thomas Edwin Sommer, age 63, of Reynoldsburg, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 14, 2010. He was born January 16, 1947 in Copley, Ohio. He was a 1965 graduate of Copley High School, U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran, retired after 31 years from the State of Ohio, and active member of the Men’s Ministry at Eastside Grace Brethren Church. He is preceded in death by his parents Herman E. and Lotus Sommer. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Kathi; children David Thomas Sommer and Sara Kathleen (Matthew GC) Pfeifer; he was PeePaw to Maggie Marie and Samuel Matthew Pfeifer; brother Jon (Karen) Sommer; sister Molly (Tom) Garabedian; many nieces and nephews. His family will receive friends Saturday from 2:30-4:30 and 6:30-9 p.m. at the Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main Street. His funeral will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Eastside Grace Brethren Church, 7510 E. Broad Street, Blacklick, Ohio, Pastor Chip Heim officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Men’s Ministry of Eastside Grace Brethren Church or Mount Carmel Hospice.
