Oscar “Pete” Kirk, age 82, of Columbus , passed away Sunday, July 18, 2010 . He retired from Buckeye Steel after 42 years. Preceded in death by brothers William, Franklin , Albert, and Fred, sisters Mary McGrew and Dorothy Chaffins, daughter and step-daughter Carol Sue Kirk and Stella Williams. He is survived by his wife Evelyn Kirk; children and step-children Charlie (Beth) Kirk, Jean (Bob) Barker, Bigie (Donna) Fuller, Gracie Rainey, and Cheyenne (Sherry) Fuller; step-sons John Robert Lilley and Steven Christopher Lilley; brothers John, Ernest, and James Kirk; sisters Della Prindle and Gladys Huffman; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also special thanks to Sheila Baker, Shawn Bosworth, and Peggy Plunkett. His family will receive friends Wednesday from 12-1:30 p.m. at the Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main Street , Reynoldsburg , where his service will be at 1:30 p.m. ; interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens . Donations may be made to Mount Carmel Hospice.
