Amelia Jean Doritan

Amelia Jean Doritan, 103, passed away on June 22, 2026. Born on November 11, 1922, Amelia was the daughter of the late Victor and Teresa Stonestreet. She grew up in the Reynoldsburg area and graduated from Reynoldsburg High School, where she met the love of her life, Paul Doritan.

Amelia and Paul built a life together rooted in family, loyalty, and home. In 1950, they built the house that would remain the center of Amelia’s life for more than 70 years.

Amelia worked for many years as a medical bookkeeper for Dr. Thomas Williard. She was known for her sharp mind, strong will, and deep love for her family.

Even at 103, Amelia never acted as though she was ready to leave. She often said she simply liked being alive, and everyone who knew her knew she meant it. One hundred three years is a long time to live, but it was not long enough for her.

Amelia is survived by her son, Vic (Carol) Doritan; her grandson, Chad Doritan; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul Doritan; her parents, Victor and Teresa Stonestreet; and her sisters, Eileen Foyer, Teresa Thompson, and Margaret Hann.

Amelia's family will receive friends on Friday, June 26, 2026 from 12 Noon to 1:00pm at the Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main St. where her funeral service will be held and conducted by her grandson, Chad P. Doritan at 1:00pm. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
