Andrew Ray Mathews

Andrew Ray Mathews, 35, went to be with Jesus on June 13, 2022. Some knew him as Drew, and some knew him as Andy. However you knew him, you loved him. Drew was born May 20th, 1987, to Jackie Mathews and Rosalie Valentine. He grew up playing baseball, and later in life developed a love for golf and playing guitar. Drew owned his own car detailing business, where he was able to serve his community of family and friends. He enjoyed watching sports, especially when the Steelers were playing. He had a big heart, contagious laugh, and was always kind to others. More than anything though, Drew loved to spend time with his girls, Katie, June, and Ruby. They were the light of his life, and no one could make them laugh the way he did. He is survived by his wife Katie (Noble) Mathews; daughters June and Ruby Mathews; mother Rosalie (Stephen) Valentine; father Jackie Mathews; siblings Laura (Pete) and Alex (Kris); Katie’s family; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. His family will receive friends on Monday, June 20th, from 9:30 – 11:30am at Vineyard Community Church, 15187 Palmer Road SW, Reynoldsburg, Ohio, with a celebration of life to begin at 11:30am. Graveside to follow at Violet Township Cemetery, Pickerington, Ohio. Donations in his memory may be made to Vineyard Community Church at the address above.
