Anna Beatrice Flora (nee Graves), 75, of Reynoldsburg, passed away July 30, 2015 at home surrounded by her husband and children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Archer L. and Myrtle Beatrice (Munsey) Graves, and sister-in-law Barbara Rose.
She was born in Mont Calm, WV and soon after that the family moved to Indian Head, Maryland where her father was employed aiding the war effort. While living in this area Anna went from Grade 1 to Grade 12 with many of the same kids developing lasting friendships and kept in contact with many. Since most of Ann's extended family remained in West Virginia, she would visit each summer and was positively influenced by her now deceased Grandmother Graves, Uncle Mason Graves, Aunt Frances Graves Thorner, Grandmother Lola Beatrice Munsey, Aunt Marie Munsey Lively, Uncles R.F. and Jimmy Munsey and her living Aunt Mary Jo Munsey Tyree, Children Todd and Tonya.
Ann is survived by her loving husband George "Ed" Flora; loving son Jacob David (Grace) Flora; grandchildren Rachel, Jake, Seth, and Hunter; and loving daughter Pamela DeBord; grandchildren Chance (Jocelyn) Fugitt; great grandchildren Rollin, Wallace and Beatrice. Also surviving are her loving sister, Sandra (Eric) Taylor; nieces and nephews Robin (Doug) Stein, Kimberly (Traci) and Robert Coleman; her loving brother Leonard (Stephanie) Graves; nephews Aaron and Andrew; her sister's-in-law Mary Lee (Richard) Burns, nieces and nephews Verna, Richard, Tom, Harry, Doug, Jake, and MaryAlice, Marlene (Tom) Jones, niece and nephew Linda and Bruce; niece and nephew Susan and Robert Rose; and special aunt Shirley Graves.
Anna worked at the Naval Propellant Plant in Indian Head, Maryland; ALCOA Aluminum and the VA Hospital in Chillicothe and DCSC in Columbus. She is retired from what she called the best job of her life as the Court Liaison for Big Bear Stores. She spoke fondly of "The Courthouse Gang" who put the bad guys away. Many happy hours were spent with this group outside of work traveling and just having fun. (There are too many to name but you know who you are!)
Her family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11:30 on Monday, August 3 at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, OH, where her funeral will follow at 11:30 am. Burial following the funeral at Myers Cemetery, North Hampton, OH at 2 pm.
