Cliff Rose, born February 15, 1944, passed away on October 6, 2024. He was raised in Columbus, Ohio, by his parents, Belle and Loren Rose, alongside his brother Jim and sisters Delma and Carole, all of whom preceded him in death. Cliff’s life changed when he met his sweetheart, Shirley, through the friendship she had formed with his sister, Carole. The two were married in 1963 and had just started their life together when Cliff enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1966. He served as a clerk in the army which took him to several different posts including Fort Dix, NJ, Fort Benning, Georgia, and Korea. After his time in the army he and Shirley spent several happy years in the Columbus area before moving to Belpre, Ohio. There, Cliff pursued his passion for technology by opening his own business, "Cliff's TV." Cliff and Shirley raised two loving daughters, Lori and Amanda. Lori is married to her husband, Craig, and together they have two children, Grace and Liam. Amanda is married to Ruben, and they have a daughter, Arlee, who was named after her grandpa, Arlie (Cliff). Cliff adored his grandchildren, and one of his greatest joys in life was making them laugh. An avid hobbyist, Cliff had a love for collecting guns and often enjoyed shooting with friends and his daughters. He also had an impressive knife collection, which he proudly showed off whenever guests visited. In addition to his love of firearms, Cliff was always tinkering with electronics, and he loved cranking up his music to see just how loud he could make it. Cliff was a believer and often said how he was ready to go home whenever the Good Lord called him. Cliff will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who lived life with passion, humor, and a deep love for his family and friends. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 8, from 6-8 p.m. at the Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main Street, Reynoldsburg, and on Wednesday from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m., with his service to follow at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be in Galloway Cemetery.
