Arthur Charles

Arthur Charles, 93, of Reynoldsburg, passed away on January 4, 2023. Arthur was born on October 31, 1929 in Toler, Kentucky. He was an Army Sargent who served during the Korean War. He worked for over 30 years at the U.S. Postal Office. He loved crossword puzzles, and the stock market. He also loved watching shows like Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, or anything on MSNBC. He also loved baseball and watching the Cincinnati Reds. Arthur spent a long time collecting antiques and collectibles for him to sell. He loved his family more than anything, and he will be truly missed. He is preceded in death by parents Henry and Ruby Charles; wife of 35 years Emma Louise Charles; daughter Daisy McFarland; siblings James Charles, Betty Worley, and Bonnie Tompkins; sister-in-law Donna Charles. Arthur is survived by loving wife Eljean “Jeanne” Charles; daughter Debbie (Kenneth) Correll and son Arthur Keith Charles; step-daughter Rena (Robert) Hamilton; siblings Donald (Edith) Charles and Bobby Charles; grandchildren William “Douglas” (Michelle) McFarland, Sharon Louise (James) Spencer, Sandy (Jeff) Wells, David Michael Correll, Natalie (Ben) Lorenz, and Ashley (Roman) Jimenz; great-grandchildren Donna (Robert) Campbell, James (Angel) Spencer, Julie (Mike) Preece, Brian (Amanda) McFarland, Elizabeth Wells, Jacob Wells, Roman Jimenez, Roxy Lorenz, Tristen Lorenz, and Madison McFarland; great-great-grandchildren Emily, Jonathan, Joel, Daisy, Hailey (Brendan), Marissa (Alonzo), Aiden, Addilyn, Brielle, Ryan, Grace, Rylee, and Maggie; great-great-great grandchildren Ella, Maverick, and two more on the way; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. His family will receive friends on Saturday, January 14, from 2-3pm at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, Ohio, with his service to begin at 3pm.
