Barbara Alderman (Harlow), 90 of St. Petersburg, Florida formerly of Reynoldsburg, Ohio went to be with the Lord on June 4, 2024.
Although she was a quiet unpretentious soul, she left an impact on many as she walked on this earth praying for others, lending financial support when needed, staying in touch with family and friends around the world, and sharing her love and compassion with others.
Her talents included creating flower gardens, sketching and painting, sewing, photography, cooking and baking. Throughout her life she was very active with her church families. She enrolled in a writing course and recorded wonderful family memoirs. She enjoyed gathering with her ladies’ prayer and mission groups, home Bible study groups, visiting nursing homes, teaching Bible School, Sunday School, Children’s Church, and working with youth groups and the Bus Ministry.
Barbara loved to travel and had the opportunity to travel to 49 states, including Hawaii. She has also travelled to Canada, Europe, and Guatemala (mission trip.) Many of her travels included visits to family across the country. At home her favorite get away was just to walk on the beach.
This tiny woman led by example and she will be missed.
In lieu of flowers please donate to missions or lend a hand to someone in need.
Her family will receive friends on Friday, June 14, 2024 from 4 to 7:00pm at the Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main St. Reynoldsburg, OH. A graveside service for Barbara will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 10:00am at Glen Rest Memorial Estates.
