Barbara Karen Novak

Barbara Karen (Dugan) Novak passed away peacefully on June 29,2022. Barbara lived a life filled with love and family. Barbara’s greatest happiness and accomplishment was her family. She enjoyed road-trips, vacations, watching marching band performances, babysitting, cookouts, and holidays with her fiancé, kids, and grandkids.  Barbara was lovingly engaged to her soulmate, Robert. Together, they enjoyed camping, watching football, baseball, and hockey, and holding hands wherever they were. Barbara retired in 2020 after 34 years of service from Big Lots Corporate Headquarters.

Preceded in death by parents, John and Barbara (Wilt) Dugan, sister, Rebecca Henson, and brother, John Dugan II. Survived by fiancé, Robert Verhagen, children, Charles (Beth) Novak, Christine Ray, and Kathleen Novak, and grandsons Jaxon Novak and Vasa Ray. Barbara’s grandsons were her pride and joy.  

Barbara's family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 4 to 7PM at the Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main St. Reynoldsburg, OH. Arrangements under the care of Cotner Funeral Home and Crematory.
