Betty J. Koon

Betty J. Koon, 91, of Reynoldsburg, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, February 5, 2021. She was born on April 20, 1929 in Johnstown, Ohio to Joseph and Lenora Bisang. Betty was a selfless woman who loved and accepted every person she ever met. She was a God fearing woman whose strong faith surrounded others with peace and love. She built a community around her always continuing relationships with friends from Johnstown, and building new ones where ever she went. More than anything, the time she spent with her family, and connecting her family to God’s Love, meant the world to her. Betty is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband Charles Edward Koon, Sr; daughter Jeanne Clark; and siblings Bud, Pete, Charlie, Josephine, and Ada. She is survived by her sons Charles “Chuck” (Sandy), Jr, Mike (Kyum), Bob, Jerry (Carol), Joe (Tish), and David (Joan) Koon; sister Hazel Keeran; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and friends. Betty’s family will receive friends on Thursday, February 11, from 5-8pm at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, where her funeral service will be held on Friday, February 12, at 11am. Graveside service to follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estates.
