Betty Jo Mangia, 90, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023. She was born on May 9, 1933 in Bladen, Ohio to Garland and Gladys (Litrell) Lanthron. In her younger years she enjoyed time on a bowling league. Betty’s joy was her family. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, cooking, baking, and celebrating holidays with her loved ones. She also loved music, singing and dancing. She was so proud of her big family and she will truly be missed. She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings; her daughter Brenda Stucker; and grandson Joseph Fonseca. Betty is survived by loving husband Joseph Mangia; children Beverly (Dave) Becker, Sharon Fonseca, Joseph V. (Carol) Mangia, Julie (Hans) Hanna, Steven (Ann) Mangia, and John (Tracy) Mangia; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, 70 in total; many more extended family members and friends. Betty’s will be having a private family service.
