Betty Jane (Dildine) Pennington Rioux

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Betty Jane Dildine Pennington Rioux, our loving mother and friend to all whose lives she touched, on Wednesday, June 2, 2021.

Betty was born on July 22, 1944 in Columbus, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Norbert Bruce and Ester Dildine.

Betty dedicated her life as a full- time homemaker. She truly lived her life to the fullest through simple pleasures; spending time with family and friends. Betty devoted her life to children and her love for the Lord. All that knew her had the privilege of benefiting from her unconditional love. Making every task in her daily life a teachable moment was second nature to Grace. She embodied the perfect combination of compassion and thoughtfulness, which made her easy to love and impossible to forget.

Betty was happily married to her late husband Charles Rioux. Betty is also preceded in death by her parents and her Brothers Clarence (Bud) Dildine, Seth Dildine, Gene Dildine, Dorwin (Windy) Dildine and sister Erma Dildine. Betty is survived by her children Edward Pennington, Herbert Pennington, Douglas (May) Pennington, Timothy (Lori) Rioux, Donald (Theda) Rioux, Tiffany Ackley. Brother Edward Dildine and Sister Ardell Dildine. Grandchildren Miranda Pennington, Cassidy Pennington, Danielle Tolkendorf, Brooke (Johnny) Cropper, Austin Pennington, Logan Pennington, Seth Pennington, Brandon Hunter, Naomi Blackwell, Zach Rioux, Steven Rioux, Meagan Rioux, Audrey Rioux, Jodi Rioux, and Natalie Rioux, great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at Cotner Funeral Home 7369 E. Main St Reynoldsburg, OH 43068 from 5pm - 8pm on Monday, June 7, 2021.
