Brittannie Aerrianne Rhoades – Bowsher, age 39, of Pataskala unexpectedly
passed away on November 30, 2023 surrounded by her husband and two beautiful
daughters in Pearl City, Hawaii. She was born on September 18 , 1984 to her loving
parents Bruce and Terrie Rhoades of Pataskala, Ohio. Brittannie’s father Bruce
passed unexpectedly on December 15 th , 1985. John Baker later married Terrie and
raised Brittannie as his own and became the loving father figure in her life. In June
of 2012, she married her best friend and soul mate, Matthew Bowsher. Matthew and
Brittannie welcomed their daughter Patton in 2015, followed by their daughter
Mattis in 2016.
Brittannie was a shining star that could light up any room or life that she entered.
She was an all-star athlete her entire life. During high school, she was a multi-sport
athlete competing in cheerleading, swimming, and track & field. She pursued her
nursing degree in college all while working and cheering from the collegiate to the
professional levels. Her resilience was admirable. Despite the demands of her
husband's military career requiring frequent relocations, she made a home
wherever they went, always finding a Roller Derby team to join and contribute her
talents to. Brittannie was the unsung hero of any team that she was a part of,
conducting the behind scenes work was her forte, and she never needed to be
thanked for her efforts.
Her strength and dedication extended beyond the sports. As a mother, Brittannie
was a fierce advocate for her two daughters' education. She was a pillar of support
for families navigating the challenges of raising children with special needs,
offering guidance and encouragement that was invaluable and meant more to them
than she ever knew. Brittannie was very active in the school and local community.
She coached cheerleading for her two daughters, and everyone in the community
wanted Coach Brittannie for their children, as her reputation preceded her.
Brittannie was a force to be reckoned with, a woman of the greatest will and
determination. She was a person who could accomplish anything she set her mind
to. But above all, she will always be remembered for her gorgeous smile and
unique personality that had a way to make anyone fall in love with her. Her spirit
continues to shine brightly, a testament to her remarkable life.
Brittannie is survived by her husband of 12 years, Matthew Bowsher; daughters,
Patton and Mattis; her mother, step-father and closest confidants, Terrie Ann
Rhoades-Baker and John Baker; beloved brothers, Troy, Dustin (Jessica –
Brittannie’s lifelong best friend), and Blane; sisters Tracie, Arye, and Angel; all of
Pataskala, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews- all whom she loved dearly. She is
proceeded in death by her father, Bruce Rhoades.

2023 from 1:00 to 3:00pm at Hosanna Lutheran Church, 7714 Hazelton-Etna Rd
