Burckhardt W. Wallbraun, 75, of Columbus, Ohio passed peacefully on Sunday, May 5, 2024.
Burckhardt came from Germany when he was a young man at 20 years old. He met Pat in California at a local bar and quickly fell in love. They married and gave birth to a daughter named, Gretchen. A few years later they drifted apart and Burk met Mary. Burk and Mary were married for 48 years and gave birth to two daughters, Erica and Monica. They lived in California for 25 years before moving to Ohio. Burk and Mary loved to travel, always as a family. He enjoyed model trains and always taking adventures.
Burckhardt was preceded in death by his first wife, Pat, his second wife, Mary, his parents Helmut and Renate Wallbraun, Sabine Sonnenberg, Aunt Subille, cousins Michael and Corinna Bohm.
He is survived by his daughters; Gretchen, Erica and Monica, grandchildren; Bobby, Michael, Eben, Zach and Serenity; great-grandchildren; Bobby and Luca.
Contributions may be made to Cotner Funeral Home to assist Burk‘s daughter, Erica, with expenses.
His family will receive friends on Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg.
