Our dear wife and mother, Carlene Kay Leckey (Woolery-Brown), sadly passed away surrounded by family on 16 July 2022, at the age of 73. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to so many. She was a well-loved member of the community in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and surrounding areas. If you would like to pay your respects, you are welcome to attend the memorial service honoring her life at Vineyard Christian Church in Columbus, Ohio, on July 21st. Viewing will be at 0930, with the service at 1015, officiated by Pastor Richard Reiter.
Kay was born in Hays, Kansas, on December 9th, 1948. She graduated from Hays High School and went on to earn a degree in accounting from Tidewater Community College. She enjoyed all furry and feathered friends (especially, wolves and horses), painting, playing games, helping others, and spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite job of so many jobs in a lifetime, was driving instructor. She felt that it was so rewarding to teach so many a skill that would open great opportunity in their lives.
Mom was loved and will be missed terribly. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Doris, and sister, Eva. She is survived by her husband, Tom; sister, Janice; brother, Carl; six children, Danny (wife Pauline), Tina (husband Bobby), Tony (wife Kim), Shelly, Laura (husband Dustin), and John; 19 grandchildren; an ever-growing number of great-grandchildren; best friend, Regina; best friend Laverne; extended family; numerous friends and great neighbors; and of course, her best furry friend, Little Wolf.
Her family will receive friends Thursday from 9:30-10:15 a.m. at Vineyard Christian Church, 1055 McNaughten Road, Columbus, Ohio with her service to follow at 10:15 a.m.
