Carlos E. Toler, Jr., formerly of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on March 15, 2026.
Carl was born on December 20, 1950 to Carlos E. Toler, Sr. and Hazel (Blakenship) Toler. Carl enjoyed spending his later years sitting on the porch and watching his grandchildren learn to ride the 4-Wheelers in the front yard of his homestead, bringing him so much joy.
He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and Lucky Dog.
Carl is survived by his sister Eva Anges (Joe) Wilson; children Jeramie (Kim) Toler, Dustin Toler, and Emma (Brittany) Toler; nephew Dan (Kelly) Bunting; 10 grandchildren, Elizabeth Loring, Andrew (Trisha) Loring, Mitchell Toler, Samuel (Bianca) Toler, Genoea Toler, Phoebe Toler, Dorothy “Dottie” Toler, Justin Butcher, Keigan Butcher, and Avery Wallen; 6 great-grandchildren, Carter Petty, Rosie Petty, Belle Toler, Hudson Loring, Dayna Loring, and Kasen Penn; many uncles, cousins, extended family and friends; and his dog Gracie.
Special Thanks to Tami Angel and Iva McReynolds for taking care of Carl at the end of his life.
His family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 1, from 5-7pm at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, where his memorial service will follow at 7pm.
