Carol Elizabeth Borror

Carol Elizabeth Borror, 81, of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.  She was born on June 22, 1944 to the late James and Bernice Jones. She is preceded in death by her husband, Arch Borror and step-daughter, Amie Borror. 

Carol is survived by her loving sons, Jim (Lisa) Van Horn of Pataskala, Ohio and John (Cheryl) Van Horn of Bellville, Ohio.  She is, also, survived by her brother Beryl “Cub” (Betty) Whaley; grandchildren, Jeremy (Katie) Van Horn; Brittani Van Horn; Jordyn (Ron) Kieser; great grandchildren, Elliott, Bryson, Cooper; former husband and friend Jerry Van Horn; her niece and nephews as well as several special friends.    

Carol was a dedicated worker.  She never complained and always worked hard.  Several of her working years were dedicated to T.S. Tech. Through her many years of commitment, Carol instantly made new friends.  She did not know a stranger and made sure to invest in those near and dear to her heart. 

While friends and family meant the world to Carol, in close second were her fur babies.  Carol adored her dogs and cats.  Her love, compassion and care for each of them was truly something to admire.  A day didn’t go by that she wasn’t snuggled up with one of her pets.  They truly were her best friends.

Anyone who met Carol was better for it.  Every time we hear a song by Elvis Presley, we will think of her.  Every time we see a pristine yard, we will think of her. Her laughter and orneriness will be dearly missed by all.  

The family requests donations to be made to any animal shelter of your choice, as Carol loved her pets.
