Charles was born on August 21, 1936 in Mt. Vernon to Carl and Effie (Mckinstry) Hulse. He graduated from Ohio State University with bachelor’s and master’s degree in mechanical engineering (1960 & 1962). He retired in 1996, after serving 30 years at Lucent Technologies. Charles is survived by his son Charles (Chuck) L. Hulse; two sisters Jean Goudy and June Magers; one sister-in-law Miriam Hulse; grand-daughters Mandy (Josh) Gibson, Rachel (David) Minahan, and Hannah Miller; great grand-children Aubrey and Emily Gibson, and Donnie and Griffey Miller. Charles is preceded in death by his wife, Adrienne Ann (Lawrence) Hulse to whom he was married over 50 years; his parents; two brothers, Hoy Hulse and Russell Hulse; and one sister, Wilma Johnson.
Friends and family are welcome to stop at the family’s residence on Sunday, February 11, from 1-5:00 p.m.
A graveside service will be held on February 12, at 2:00 pm in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens, 18260 Coshocton Ave, Mt Vernon, OH 43050 with Mark Hulse Officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068.
