Charles “Chuck” Stephen Paulsen of Logan, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 28th, 2025.
Born on March 6th, 1952, in Johnstown, Ohio, Charles was the son of Carmel (Marcum) Paulsen and Robert Paulsen. He graduated from Franklin Heights High School in Columbus, Ohio, in 1970 and worked as a carpenter and home builder.
He is survived by his son, Charles “Charlie” S. Paulsen II (mother Lori); stepson, Eric (Maria); step-grandson, Elias; sister, Lynn; “nephew”, Michael; and many more nephews, nieces, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Gina; brother, John; and aunt, Eula.
Chuck will be remembered for his love of Mopar classic cars, fishing, and his favorite team, the Green Bay Packers. The most meaningful years of his life were spent raising his son, Charlie. Chuck rarely missed a practice, game, or sporting event that Charlie participated in, and he could always be heard cheering his son on from the stands. He was a man with a deep appreciation for working with his hands and a strong work ethic. In his free time, you could often find Chuck building his next Mopar or attending drag races at National Trail Raceway in Hebron, Ohio. He loved his dogs, Dugan and Jasper, and his cat.
His family invites loved ones for visitation from 11am to 1pm on Friday, October 3rd, 2025 with a service following at 1pm. Services will be held at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E Main Street, Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068.
