Daniel "Dan" Nesser

Daniel “Dan” Nesser, 63, of Reynoldsburg, passed away on June 18, 2021. Dan was born on October 11, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio to John & Dorothy (Uhl) Nesser. He worked in Mississippi from 1981-84 before returning to Columbus and meeting his wife Lori. Once in Ohio he worked for the Kissell Company in 1984 in Springfield, Ohio. Then he began contracting for a few other companies, like Excel, before settling at the State Teachers Retirement System (STRS) in 1995, where he stayed until 2017. Dan was a Huge Buckeye Fan and loved watching football and basketball. He was also an avid Cleveland Browns Fan. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, and working outside. Dan is preceded in death by his father John W. Nesser, daughter Samantha Nesser, and grandson Landon Gregor. He is survived by loving wife Lori; daughter Danielle (Aaron) Gregor; mother Dorothy Nesser; grandchildren Lucas, Maddie, and Logan Gregor; siblings Sue (Denny) Hufstader, Mike (Krista) Nesser, Julie Nesser, Debora (Eddie) Nesser-Broyles, David Nesser, Joe (Beth) Nesser, and Matthew Nesser; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Dan’s family will receive friends on Thursday, June 24, from 6-7:30pm, at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, where his service will follow at 7:30pm.
