David M. Roby

On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, David M. Roby, (73), peacefully passed away, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born on March 5, 1952, David was the son of the late Andrew R. Roby and Donna L. (Dutton) Roby. He graduated from Reynoldsburg High School in 1971 and married his beloved wife, Barbara (Schrader), on September 16, 1972.

David retired from St. Agatha Catholic Church, where he worked as a Custodian for over 10 years. He was an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. David enjoyed coffee, warm weather, drinking an ice-cold beer, playing golf and most of all spending time with his family.

David is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Barbara and his brothers, Kevin and Richard Roby. He is survived by his companion LaDonna Haley; his children, Cary (Brian) VanHorn, David (Cathy) Roby, Tina (Chris) Bissel and Devon (Joel) Westbrook; his siblings, Cynthia (Dale) Gervais, Cheryl (Tim) Back and Phillip Roby; 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

David's family will receive friends on Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 4 to 7:00pm with a prayer service beginning around 6:30pm by Deacon Mike Berger at the Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main St. Reynoldsburg, OH. David's Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 10:30am at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1051 Waggoner Rd., Reynoldsburg, OH, with Fr. Dan Ochs celebrant. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
