David Angus Smith, age 94, of Reynoldsburg, passed peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus on July 15, 2022. David was born on October 27, 1927, in St. John's Newfoundland to Samuel and Elizabeth (Clarkson) Smith. As Scottish immigrants, his parents came to the United States and settled in Waterford, Connecticut.  David is preceded in death by his parents as well as his siblings, William, John, Samuel Jr., Malcolm, Allan, and Elizabeth (Betty) Mono. He is also preceded in death by his wife Lillian Smith (Alexander) and his wife Dessie Smith (Robbins) of 39 years. In addition, he is preceded in death by his children Ted Jones (step-son), Diane Clouse (Smith), Daniel Smith, and Terry Smith. 
David is survived by his wife Lois Smith (Wolfe) of 22 years and his children Alfreda Price (step-daughter), Fred Jones (step-son) and wife Vera, Larry Jones (step-son) and wife Jennie, Colleen Zambrano (Smith) and husband Rico. Additionally, David is survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren Kim Petty (Price) and husband John (children: Joshua, Aaron, Nathan, Adam) Dennis Price and wife Sherry (child: Cameron), Christopher Latella, Timothy Jones, Kevin Jones, Ariel Zambrano, Melina Tornero (Zambrano) and husband Vince (child: Giovanni), Kyle Zambrano, and Kalen Zambrano. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and his brother-in-law Leroy Robbins.
Additionally, David is survived by his wife Lois' children Vance Wolfe and wife Patty, Michael Wolfe and wife Julie, and Lisa Wolfe as well as Lois' grandchildren and great-grandchildren Adam Wolfe and wife Denise (children: Asher and Oliver), Nikki Walker and husband Tyler (children: Connor and Rowan), Jessica Jones and husband Matt, and Zachary Wolfe. 
David attended Chapman Technical High in Connecticut and was an aeronautical engineer. He worked on various projects during his long career but was most proud to have worked on the stealth and B-1 bombers as well as the space shuttles. He was also a United States Army veteran. 
David was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He was devoted to his Savior and he was devoted to his family. He leaves behind an incredible legacy of love. He was a strong and humble man and he set forth an amazing example for others to follow.
David was a long-time member of the Reynoldsburg Freewill Baptist Church and dearly loved his brothers and sisters in Christ. The family is asking that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to Reynoldsburg Freewill Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1307, Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 20th at Reynoldsburg Freewill Baptist Church at 9508 Taylor Rd SW, Reynoldsburg, OH 43068. The family will receive visitors from 12:00-2:00 pm with the funeral at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
