Delores "Dee" Jean Moore

Delores “Dee” Jean Moore, 76, passed away peacefully with her family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer. Delores was born on December 27, 1946 in Oskaloosa, Iowa to Dorothy (Thomas) and the late Dale Whitlatch. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick” Moore and her brother, Dale Whitlatch, Jr.

She was raised in Knoxville, IA by loving parents, Dale, Sr. and Dorothy Whitlatch. Some of her favorite childhood memories were the yearly family car adventures throughout the United States.

She moved to Columbus, OH in 1971, where she met and married Richard “Dick” Moore. They were blessed with children Jason Paul and Krista Lee.

Dee loved her family, flowers, animals, antiquing, flea markets, the outdoors and loved a good bargain.

Those left to honor her life and memory are her loving mother, Dorothy (Thomas) Whitlatch of Knoxville, IA; son, Jason (Chris) Moore of Whitehall, OH; daughters, Krista (Earl) Rodgers of Whitehall, OH and Judy (Joe) Popper of Whitehall, OH.; grandchildren, Brandon, Kaleb, Sadie and Jessica; sisters, Dixie (Steve) Carrier and Denise (Keith) Marshall.

Dee’s family will receive friends on Friday, November 3, 2023 form 5 to 7:00pm at the Cotner Funeral Home.
