Don Kirk

Don Kirk, 76, of Pataskala passed away unexpectantly and entered into heaven Thursday, April 10, 2025.  

He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Hessie Kirk; brothers: Denny, Sammy, Blaine and Jimmie Kirk; sisters: Grethel, Ethel (Kane), Marie, Lola, Beatrice (Beakie) and Jean. 

Don is survived by his brother Bill (Julie) Kirk of Columbus, Ohio and many nieces, nephews and friends. He is also survived by sister-in-laws: Gertie Kirk of Columbus, Ohio; Sarah Kirk and Darlene Kirk both of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; and Marilyn Kirk of Baltimore, Ohio. Also, his good friend and neighbor Terry White. 

Don was a sports enthusiast. He was an avid follower of the Baltimore Ravens football team and the West Virginia Mountaineers College Football Program.  He followed the Cincinnati Reds Baseball and was a fan of the Baltimore Orioles baseball team, as well. 

He was employed for the State of Ohio , Department of Commerce, at the Ohio Fire Academy in Reynoldsburg as a security officer.  He retired from the Ohio Fire Academy after a number of years of service.

Don possessed a strong Christian faith in Jesus Christ. He read and studied the Bible on a daily basis. He lived his life by his Christian faith in his Lord and Saviour. Wherever Don went in his life, he was never ashamed to share his love of Jesus with family and friends he met in his daily life. 

Pastor Edwin Hayes will lead a memorial service to celebrate Don's life. The memorial service will be held on Tuesday evening, April 22, 2025 6:00 p.m. at Gahanna Free Will Baptist Church, 3868 North Stygler Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230.
