Dorothy J. Masterson

Dorothy J. (Horner) Masterson 68, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor after an extended illness. Dorothy was born June 29, 1954 in Marietta, Ohio to Wayne E. and Irene F. Witham Horner. Dorothy graduated in the Morgan High School Class of 1972 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from OU Zanesville.

Dorothy married her husband, John C. Masterson, on November 10, 1979. They had one daughter Colette M Masterson. Dorothy had many training and customer service roles at JCPenney in both Michigan and Ohio over thirty-one years.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Left to treasure her memory are her family: one of the greatest joys of her life, her daughter Colette M Masterson of Westerville, Ohio; her brother and sister-in-law, Phil and Kris Horner of Malta, Oh.; her very special nephew & nieces which she cherished dearly, Adam Wayne (Anna) Horner & family of McCutchenville, Oh.; Amanda Kay (Brion) Blankenship & family of Springfield, Oh.; and Melinda Sue (Jewett Jr) Racer & family of Malta, Oh.

Calling hours will be held from 4 – 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 13 at the Cotner Funeral Home in Reynoldsburg, Oh. with the Funeral Service immediately following at 6 p.m. A family burial will be held on Sunday, August 14 at the Deerfield Cemetery in Malta, Oh.
