Dorothy Eunice (Younts) Gillis went home peacefully into the presence of Jesus on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at age 84.
Eunice was born to Hugo and Nora Younts on January 31st, 1936 at their home in Blackford County, Indiana. As a child, she demonstrated musical giftedness that would be a blessing to many people throughout her life. She served numerous congregations as a pianist and choir director, including the Reynoldsburg Church of the Nazarene. Most recently, she served as pianist at the Goldston NC United Methodist Church, where she was deeply loved by many.
She is preceded in death by her husband Edgar Gillis, her parents Hugo and Nora Younts, and her sister Marjorie. She is survived by her sister Martha Adkins of Hartford City, Indiana; her children Dennis (and Cheryl) King of Blacklick, Ohio; David (and Kim) King of Holly Ridge, North Carolina; Philip (and Joann) King of McConnelsville, Ohio; and Rebecca Mitchell of Cartersville, Virginia; eleven grandchildren: Matthew, Jonathan, and Stephen King; Jessica Corpening; Gregory King; James Sheppard; Amber Hill; Benjamin King; Josh Watkins; Katie Mitchell and Andrew Mitchell; nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Surely goodness and mercy have followed Eunice all the days of her life, and now she is dwelling in the house of the Lord forever.
