Elizabeth Kessler

Elizabeth "Liz" Ruth Kessler, age 87, passed away peacefully at Cornerstone Care Center in Orlando, FL on Friday, January 13, 2023. Liz was born and raised in Zanesville, Ohio and graduated Lash High School with honors. Soon after marriage, she started her lifelong role of being a loving and devoted mother. Liz was also the bookkeeper for the family’s construction company. She later worked for the State of Ohio as an Office Manager in the health care clinic, located at the Vern Riffe building. The next chapter in life was the 20 enjoyable years of retirement spent in Kissimmee, FL. She will be forever remembered by her faith and Christian values, generosity and storytelling. She had a wonderful sense of humor, quickness to laugh, and a love of conversation. She is preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Lillian Sommers; siblings Dorothy, Charles, Walter, Conrad and Mary. Liz is survived by former spouse Bob Kessler; children Lori, Deidre, Brian (Elma), Wendy (Ryan), Dianna (Danny); 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; many extended family and friends. Her family will receive family and friends on Wednesday, from 10am-12pm, at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street Reynoldsburg, Ohio, with a celebration of her life service to start at noon. Graveside service to follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estates.
