Elizabeth Thornton

Elizabeth Thornton, 85, of Columbus/Mechanicsburg, passed away on August 1, 2022. Preceded in death by husband Robert C. Thornton and brother Henry Spohn. Survived children Charles (Marshall Poplin) Thornton, Irene (Jeffrey) Scott, Traci Thornton, and Ellen Davis; brother George (Nancy) Spohn; grandchildren Michael Thornton, John W. Scott, Jason (Kathleen) Scott, Christopher Thornton, and Tim Davis, Jr; great-grandchildren Faith, John V. and Arianna; many more nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Her family will receive friends on Friday, August 5, from 10-11am at Reformation Lutheran Church, 1355 South Hamilton Road, Columbus, where her funeral service will follow at 11am. Graveside service at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the church in Elizabeth’s name.
