Frances Weber Obituary

Frances E. Weber (Roush), age 94, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 15, 2026 in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. She was born on May 18, 1931 to Franklin G. Roush and Erma Mae (King) Roush in Akron, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Charles F. Roush, sister Barbara D. Goodrich (Roush), husbands John A. Sapp and Bob L. Weber, daughter Deborah A. Lloyd (Sapp), and son-in-law John E. Lloyd.

Frances graduated from Pomeroy High School in 1949. She lived in Bermuda, spent 47 years in Bexley in the same house, and at Wesley Ridge in Reynoldsburg since 2008. Bob and Frances were married March 24, 1962 at Eastview United Methodist Church sharing 51 loving, adventurous years together.

Frances was employed as a secretary to the Meigs County Agriculture Agent and Home Extension Agent in Pomeroy, Ohio with The Ohio State University. She always worked for Purchasing Agents almost everywhere she lived. She retired from the Federal Defense Construction Supply Center (DCSC) Agency. 

Frances was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, Chapter 235; Central Ohio Ostomy Group and long-time Visitation Support Group; Bexley Activities Group; the Jewish Community Center; lifetime member of the Orbiting Squares and the Senior Citizens of Reynoldsburg. She was recognized by the Columbus Dispatch as volunteer of the year in 2001 for her tireless work with the Ostomy Group. She was a member of the Peace UMC in Pickerington and a regular at Vespers at Wesley Ridge. She and Bob loved to travel, visiting all 50 states, enjoying multiple cruises and scuba diving the Great Barrier Reef and other tropical locations. She was an avid swimmer the majority of her life and swam the equivalent of a round-trip from Columbus to Key West, FL. Frances loved life, family, friends, meeting new people, gardening, and the entire Wesley Ridge community and campus.

She is survived by her brother, Thomas K. Roush of Lake Park, FL; grandson, Mark A. (Julie) Lloyd and great-granddaughter, Ariana R. Lloyd of Cincinnati; step-children, Sharon Weber of Arizona, Bobby Weber and Larry Weber of Colorado and Penny Clark of Gahanna, OH; ten step-grandchildren and many step-great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life for Frances will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026 at 3:00pm with visitation beginning at 2:30pm in the Kimes Chapel at Wesley Ridge, 2229 Taylor Park Dr, Reynoldsburg, OH. Memorial contributions in memory of Fran may be made to benefit the Wesley Ridge Retirement Community via The Columbus Foundation, 1234 E. Broad St, Columbus, Ohio 43205-1453.
