George William Eberhart, of Whitehall, passed away on November 24, 2025 at the age of 67.
George was born on November 1, 1958 in Mansfield, Ohio to Clyde and Juanita (Humphrey) Eberhart. He was one of four siblings. After moving to Whitehall, he worked for many years as a head custodian for Whitehall City Schools, retiring after most of his grandchildren were born.
George was one who always tried to help others. He was loving, caring, and passionate about many things. He had a lot of friends and people in the community who adored him. He loved being a grandfather, and was always close with his grandchildren. Although stern, he had a fierce sense of humor and often expressed his love by teasing. He cared deeply for animals as well as children, doting on his beloved dog Alita. George will be remembered for his wit as well as for his kindhearted and caring nature.
George is survived by children Jason (Stephanie) Eberhart and Kathryn Eberhart; grandchildren Riley, Ezra, Ember, and Emerson; dog Alita; and many more beloved friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Juanita Eberhart; and siblings Norman Eberhart, Brandon Eberhart, and Melanie Shapiro.
