Helen Clonch Obituary

Helen Elizabeth Clonch, 102, of Pataskala, Ohio, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, December 23. 2025. She was born in Delaware county to Benjamin Tracy and Mary Elizabeth (Milligan) Goodman on April 12, 1923. Their family moved to the Licking County farm in the early 1930’s.

Helen graduated from Alexandria High School in 1941. She married Harold Clonch in Joplin, Missouri on June 18, 1943. During World War II, while Harold was overseas, Helen and their daughter, Mary Beth moved to the Goodman farm. After the war the Clonch family relocated to Columbus and eventually settled in south end of Columbus. There they raised their five children. Helen returned to the workforce once her children were older and subsequently retired from Ross Laboratories in Columbus.

In the early 1980’s, Helen and Harold moved to Reynoldsburg on property adjacent to their son David’s home. It was there she helped raise her granddaughters, Shannon and Christian. She was also very involved with the Wagram Community Church, enjoying the sewing bee ministry. They made lap quilts that were donated to local health care facilities.

For many years, Helen and her sister, Patty, documented and maintained the Goodman and Milligan family genealogy and historical records. They also coordinated and facilitated the yearly family reunions for both family groups.

Helen will be lovingly remembered by her children, Mary Beth Robbins (Tom). Alan Clonch (Barbara), Karen Ueckert (Alan) and Cathy Clonch. Her daughter in-law, Diana Clonch. Her grandchildren, David White (Jill), Brian Markley (Jennifer), Christopher Clonch (Renee), Stephen Clonch, Cody Ueckert, Bree Boldt (Travis), Shannon Sorrel and Christian Cavanaugh. And also her 15 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harold, son David, brothers, Robert and David and sister Patricia. Helen was the only member of both the Goodman and Milligan families to reach the
century mark. She will surely be missed by her immediate family, her nieces, nephews and many cousins.

We would like to express a special thank you to the staff of The Woodlands Of Columbus and Capital City Hospice for the many years of caring for Helen. Those wishing to honor Helen’s memory, may consider a donation to the Wagram Community Church.

Helen’s Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 8, from 4-7pm at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, Ohio, where her funeral service will be held on Friday, January 9, at 10am. Graveside service to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
