Irene Guerra

Irene Guerra was born July 5, 1959 in McAllen, Texas; to Irene and Roberto Perez. The Lord took her home on June 3, 2021. Irene was a member of the Full Gospel Sons Church of God, in Etna, Ohio. Founders: Jesus Christ and Pastor JoVah.

Irene grew up in Texas with her family and siblings and shared many child hood memories. She graduated High School and attained some college course credits in Illinois. Until she decided to take another journey in life. Irene visited the church here in Ohio in 1987 and there she met Pastor JoVah. She was introduced to Jesus and A True Shepherd and what it means to lead a godly life and have a relationship with Christ. It would take Irene a long haul to take that Journey for Christ; but in her last year here upon the earth, through her suffering and personal health issues, she was learning to lean on Jesus.

Irene wanted to always be in control; but in the end God had the last word and was in control of her life and took the wheel that led her to her final journey, to Heaven.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents: Irene and Roberto Cavazos and dad Roberto Perez. She is survived by her mother Irene and husband Jim Scheffke and sister Cindy and husband August Gelhaus, Elizabeth Scheffke. Brothers: Robert Perez, David and wife Kailey Scheffke. Many nieces and nephews. Also many church family and friends at the Full Gospel Sons Church of God; where she will be greatly missed.

Visitation 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2021 at Cotner Funeral Home 7369 E. Main Street, Reynoldsburg where her funeral will follow at 1:30 p.m. Burial at Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
