Wilson, Jacqueline (Jacque) Marie, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 1:56pm after a twelve-week battle with End Stage Renal Disease, with her last 18 days in (Bella) Hospice Care. She was born July 21, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio to the late George and Marie Spring. She was a 1961 graduate of Bishop Watterson High School. Jacque proudly worked for Western Electric/AT&T/Lucent for 35+ years. Jacque loved her family and especially proud of her grandson, Jordan. Jacque absolutely loved visiting with friends, family and enjoyed meeting new people. Her smile was infectious and had a great sense of humor. She loved to travel and see new places. Jacque enjoyed a wide range of music including some odd selections of music from Charlie or Chris. As many may know, Jacque ‘has not cooked a meal since around 1991’. To say she loved going out to eat, is an understatement. She made it a career and was even labelled a food critic. In the past few years, this did not stop, just changed into more carryout offerings, although for the past 7 years, she looked forward to nearly every Sunday having dinner with her son Chris…especially when he surprised her with special guest(s)! (Jordan, Zies’ & more!) Throughout her life, while she was not able to attend Mass every week, she never forgot her Faith and Catholic upbringing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life Charles Bradford (Charlie) Wilson. Jacque & Charlie were married for 49 years had one son, Chris Wilson (Christy McDaniel); grandson, Jordan C. Wilson; Aunt & Nephew/Nieces-Elsie (Wendel) See, Denise Taylor. Diane Whaley, Jeff See and many distant relatives. Extended Family and Lifelong Friends- Barbara (Baird) Block, Karen Buckley and Connie Nightwine; Sandy (Ray), Rick & Kim, Kaila (Jay) Crawford, Sarah, Rylan, Kyle and Craig and the entire Zies/Blower Family; Frank (Sonny), Andy, Mike and the entire Block Family. In honor of Jacque, we are asking everyone to either go out to eat (support local!) or bring home carryout for one meal and share a picture to Jacque’s FaceBook page.
Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main St. Reynoldsburg, OH 43068. A Funeral Mass for Jacqueline will be celebrated on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 10:30am at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1051 Waggoner Rd., Reynoldsburg, OH 43068 with Fr. David Young officiating. Private Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville, OH.
