James E. Bougor, 53, of Galloway, OH, died on Monday, March 1, 2021 in Columbus, OH from congestive heart failure. Born in Burlington, VT and raised in Middlebury, VT, Jim was a graduate of Middlebury Union High School, received an associate degree in music from Casper College in Casper, Wyoming, and received a BS in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology in Columbus, Ohio. He served two years in the army and five in the National Guard, and was a proud member of the Sons of Armageddon Motorcycle Club. Jim, known by several beloved and varied nicknames was an accomplished MCSE, Unix, Sun, Red Hat, and Legato systems expert who never looked for a job, they always found him! He was a lover of motorcycles, backgammon, driving, good food, apple pie, spending time with his friends, video games, Tai Chi, children, dogs, Disney World, music, books, Vermont, and an exquisite pun. A person who thought and felt deeply, he had a fierce sense of right and wrong, and an even fiercer sense of friendship. He was renowned for his incredible intelligence, his unbelievable stubbornness, his amazing heart, his grumpy moods, and his incomparable and legendary sense of humor. To think of Jim is to have a smile on your face and a hearty laugh at a shared joke or memory – and there are *thousands* of them. Those whom he called friend knew what an honor it was. Predeceased by his parents Edward Anthony Bougor and Anna Margaret (Bingham) Bougor, he is survived and remembered by many devoted friends and cousins who will miss him tremendously. Private graveside memorial service with full military honors followed by interment, to be held at Dayton National Cemetery, in Dayton, Ohio, Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 12:30pm.
