James Ervin Diamond, Jr.

James Ervin Diamond, 73, affectionately known as "Butch" of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, stepped into glory the morning of May 28th, 2024, at the home of his daughter. James was born in Omar, West Virginia to Ervin and Virginia Diamond on November 26, 1950.

James was a carpenter his entire life. He retired from Gutknecht Construction Company to enjoy time with his family and his love for fishing. James was of the Baptist faith and is now with his savior The Lord Jesus Christ.

James is preceded in death by his parents along with his niece, Robin Gale Howell; grandson, Jacob Marioth: father and mother-in-law, Ray and Doris McKinney and son in law, Mark Marioth.

James is survived by his wife Deborah Diamond; daughter, Erica Lynn (Russ) Ridgeway; son, Benjamin (Devyn) Daimond; sisters, Deborah (Donnie) Rhoades, Carolyn (Harry) Fannin; grandchildren, Daniel Marioth, Katie Marioth and Nora Gail Diamond; great-grandchildren, Blayne, Konnar, Rion, Kaycee, Jameson, Jubille and Noah Maroith, and Jeremiah Billingsley; nephews, Johnny (Lisa) Kelly, Austin, Liam and Eoin Kelly and niece, Brentney Howell.

Psalm 100:4-5 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

At the request of James there will be no service. His family will gather for a celebration of his life at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Cotner Funeral Home in the memory of James Diamond.
