James A. Hudson, 78, of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully at OSU Medical Center. James was an avid Ohio State fan; he loved the Buckeyes! The Buckeyes National Championship win brought him such joy and happiness! James always enjoyed nature, too. He loved fishing, roses, birds and most of all... the squirrels! He was a huge fan of the "As Seen On TV" gizmos and gadgets. His greatest love was his family! He was blessed by his siblings and all of their children. Spending time with all of them is truly what he loved the most!
James was born on February 22, 1947 in Grundy, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents; Mack and Ruby (Hatfield) Hudson; brother Williard Eugene Hudson; sisters Darlene (Harold) Miller Jr, Patricia A. (former spouse Charles Philip) Patterson; sister-in-law Roseann (Bishop) Hudson; Nephews; Mark Patterson and Jack Miller.
James is survived by his brother Gene Travis Hudson; sister Brenda (Eric) Fannin; nephews Mike (Debbie) Miller, James (Jaclyn) Miller; nieces Debra (Alfanso) Limon, Dianna Travis, Veronica (Dave) Allinder, Victoria (Ron) Keller, Valerie (Chris) Watson, Christina (Michael) Ryan and Nicol (Eric) Remeis; and several great and great great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service celebrating James and his sister Patricia will take place on Saturday, April 5, at 10am at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, with visiting to begin an hour prior, at 9am. Graveside service to follow at Fernwood Cemetery, Lockbourne, Ohio.
