James David Pinnick

James Pinnick, age 99, of Reynoldsburg, went home to be with the Lord on January 15, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. James was born in Crooksville, Ohio on March 23, 1925 to the late Rex & Pearl Pinnick.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife of 78 years Nelrose Pinnick. He is survived by sons Steve (Karol) Pinnick and Jeff (Mary) Pinnick; daughter Lori (Kenny) Crosby; sister Mary Jean Troutman; six grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

James graduated from Roseville High School and retired from Conrail, with over 40 years of service. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and of the Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church for over 65 years. He was a Captain Usher at the church for over 50 years. He co-founded and volunteered for Reynoldsburg Helping Hand and was Former President and active member of the Reynoldsburg Senior Center. He was a Cub Scout Leader, and began the first Scouting program at RUMC. He has honorably served the Reynoldsburg community for over 65 years. He was an avid sports fan, and loved the Cleveland Indians. More than anything his love for his wife, children, and grandchildren showed through his years of service and care for his family. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

His family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 22, from 10-11am at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, where his service will follow at 11am. Interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
