James Alan Reed

James A. Reed, formerly of Reynoldsburg, Ohio and Punta Gorda, Florida  passed away  on August 19, 2025 at his residence in Etna, Ohio. 

 Born in Columbus, Ohio on October 25th, 1962. Jim is survived by his partner, David Hendren; parents, Quentin and Barbara Reed; brother, William Reed; sister-in-law, Rebecca Reed and niece, Gwen Reed.

Raised in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Jim graduated from Reynoldsburg High School in 1981. He attended The Ohio State University, Mount Carmel School of Nursing and Cuyahoga Community College where he received a Nursing degree. Jim dedicated himself to various nursing and hospital administration positions throughout Ohio and Florida. He was always there to support and help his friends and family. Jim will be deeply missed.

James's family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 from 5 to 8:00pm at the Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main St. Reynoldsburg, OH where his funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at 11:00am with Pastor Bill Weaver officiating. Interment Silent Home Cemetery.
