James Jay Zollinger, 81, passed away unexpectedly on July 24, 2020. Jim was born on April 5, 1939 in Newark, OH to the late Gene, Sr. and Mildred (Redfern) Zollinger. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Gene Zollinger, Jr. and cousin, Dorothy Redfern.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Judy A. Zollinger; children, Kelle (Jeffrey) Carpenter, Kurt (Sheri) Zollinger, Mark (Susan) Brown and Diane Brown; grandfather of 10, great-grandfather of 6, and family members in Millersport, OH.
Jim proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1964. He retired from Ohio Printing, and was currently employed as a seasonal worker with the Franklin County Board of Elections. Jim enjoyed camping and attending sporting events such as Red's baseball and Buckeye athletics.
A graveside service for Jim will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at 2:00pm at Glen Rest Memorial Estates, 8029 East Main St. Reynoldsburg, OH 43068 with Pastor Jack Stockdale officiating. The Zollinger family requests that those in attendance maintain the proper social distancing guidelines during the graveside service.
