Jane Frances (Koebel) Pease passed away peacefully on Friday, June 3rd 2022 at the home of her son Michael Pease, surrounded by her loving children. Jane was born February 16th, 1936 to Paul and Frances Koebel. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Leland Pease, her first son Matthew Motok, her brothers Paul Koebel, Jr. (Nancy) and Thomas Koebel, and her stepdaughter Michelle Schmitz (Pease).
Jane is survived by her children Victoria England, Jennifer (Rusty) Vouis, Jim (Laura) Motok, Eileen (Chance Sweazey) Motok and Michael Pease; 21 loving grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; siblings, Dorothy (Roger) Bosworth, Margaret (Michael) O’Sullivan, Joseph (Mariann) Koebel, Cornelia Koebel and Colleen (Joseph) Held; sister-in-law Rosalie Koebel. Jane also leaves behind many loving cousins who were always there to support her, as well as her son-in-law Bill England and his family.
Jane graduated in 1953 from St. Mary High School German Village where she made lifetime friendships, and also studied poetry and writing at OSU. In addition to raising her children as a busy Air Force family homemaker, Jane was a talented visual artist, published poet, gardener and nature lover. Many people and animals have benefited from her seemingly myriad talents and her strict adherence to The Golden Rule over her lifetime. Jane made lasting friends wherever she was, and deeply cherished their love as gifts from God.
Jane’s family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 from 4 to 7 P.M. at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main St. Reynoldsburg, OH. A Funeral Mass for Jane will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1051 South Waggoner Road, Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068 with Father David Young celebrating. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne, Ohio 43147
