Jennifer Rebecca Ruble, born August 28, 1971, in Newark, Ohio, passed peacefully at
her home on Monday, August 18, 2025, from a heart attack. She was a proud graduate
of Heath High School, Class of 1990, and also completed some college coursework.
Jennifer was a light in the darkness, carrying a sweet and gentle spirit even through the
hardest seasons of life. She loved Jesus with all her heart and trusted deeply in His
reckless love for her. To those she cared for, Jennifer was the loudest cheerleader—
always encouraging, always pushing you to be the best version of yourself. She never
met a stranger; she welcomed everyone with kindness and made them feel like they
belonged. Jennifer loved big, laughed often, and had a way of making ordinary
moments feel special.
One of her greatest joys was her dog, Levi—her constant companion and truest friend.
She adored him beyond measure, and their bond was unshakable. In many ways, Levi
was her safe place and her greatest comfort, he brought her steady joy and
unconditional love in this world.
Jenny also deeply loved her grandbabies, Lincoln and Lyanna—and they loved her like
crazy. She made them feel special in countless ways—teaching them how to enjoy the
outdoors, planning fun activities, and creating memories that will stay with them forever.
Some of her happiest times were spent camping, fishing, and sitting around the fire pit
with family and friends.
She especially loved her camping life at La-Z Acres Campground, where she found
community, relaxation, and joy in the simple things, like watching her hummingbirds.
Beyond the outdoors, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, and relaxing with a good Netflix
show. She also had a great love for all kinds of music—music spoke to her heart and
moved through her in a way that words often could not.
Jennifer was a hard worker who took great pride in everything she did. She built a
strong and accomplished career in logistics, holding positions from cooler/deli stocker
associate to machine operator, shipping coordinator, and receiving supervisor. Known
for her adaptability and problem-solving skills, she always gave her best and looked for
ways to make things better for those she worked with.
She leaves behind many friends, family, and loved ones she considered family,
including her partner, Debbie DePaso; her sons, Ryan (Tegan) Shock and Philip Ruble;
her beloved grandchildren, Lincoln and Lyanna
To know Jen was to be touched by her love, and that love will always be carried in our
hearts. We take comfort in knowing she is at peace, resting in the loving arms of the
Jesus she loved. Jen was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
In accordance with Jennifer’s wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no formal
memorial service. Friends and family are encouraged to gather together often—to share
stories, laugh together, enjoy each other’s company, and lift a glass in her memory.
