Jerry Murphy, Sr. Obituary

Jerry Lee Murphy, Sr., 82, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016.

Jerry was a US Navy veteran; worked for Continental Bakery Company; and was a route salesman for Hostess Cakes. Jerry was a member of the Berean Baptist Church for 43 years where he was a long standing Deacon.

He was preceded in death by his parents Marvin & Bernadine Murphy. Jerry is survived by his loving wife Harriette Murphy; children Jerry (Mary) Murphy, Cinda (Nick) Nichols, Mark (Leslie) Murphy, and Matthew (Carmen) Murphy; grandchildren Megen (Jason), Tyler, Rory, Matthew Jr. (Shannon), Kaylee, Adam, Zachary, and Sean; great-grandchildren Noah and Adalind; brothers Jack Murphy, Richie (Laura) Murphy, Marvin (Nancy) Murphy, Jr. and Don (Laurie) Murphy; sisters Barbara (Walt) Davis, Mary (Rick) Hunter; aunts Eileen Jones and Judy (David) Phillips; uncle David (Betty) Murphy; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Jerry's family will receive friends 10 - 11 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Berean Baptist Church 12985 Tollgate Road Pickerington where his funeral will follow at 11 a.m. Private entombment at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
