Jetto Claude Blevins, age 73, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2023. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on December 8, 1949 to Claude Townsend and Ruth Maxine Blevins (née Howard). Jetto spent much of his youth roaming the Appalachian countryside on the family farm in Webbville, Kentucky, where he developed a lifelong love of hunting, fishing, and gardening. He had a sincere respect for nature and enjoyed sharing his interest in the wilds with those around him. Jetto served six years in the United States Army, including wartime deployment to Vietnam. After his military service, he worked many years as a machinist and was known by his friends and family as someone who could lathe just about any part or tool needed to get the job done. Jetto was quiet yet thoughtful; he cultivated an extensive knowledge of American and world history throughout his lifetime and enjoyed having long conversations with others who shared these interests. He is preceded in death by his sisters Doris Claudale Denny and Corliss June Wickline, as well as his father Claude. He is survived by daughter Cheasequah Jolene Blevins; mother Maxine; nephew Charles Heber (Patricia) Ratcliff, and many other family members. His family will receive friends Sunday from 1-2 p.m. at the Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main Street, Reynoldsburg, where his service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Graveside service with military honors will take place Monday, October 23, at 1:00 p.m. at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast, Grayson, Kentucky.
