Linda Joann Worden Eichmiller Sadler, a woman defined by her boundless kindness and hospitality, passed into the arms of her Savior on February 16, 2026.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Sadler, infant son Mark Allen Sadler, parents Walter and Goldie Eichmiller, brother Wade Worden, and sisters Mary and Ella.
Joann was born on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 1937, in Chesterhill, Ohio, to Orlo and Brooksie Worden. She was later adopted in 1946 by Goldie and Walter Eichmiller who received her with great love. She was raised within the close-knit farming community of Watertown, Ohio. In 1955, Joann and her high school sweetheart John, were married and began a devoted partnership that spanned 62 years. Later she and John moved to Columbus where they spent the remainder of their lives.
As a member of the Church of the Redeemer United Methodist, Joann’s faith bloomed through decades of service and fellowship. Her commitment to the community was further evidenced by 25 years of volunteer work at the Eastside Food Pantry. Known for her radical hospitality, Joann's kitchen stayed open to all friends--human and furry alike. She loved to garden, read, bake, was a dedicated "cat mom" and a lover of all God’s creation.
She is survived by her sister June (Charles) Cummings and brother Glenn Worden; her children, Jay Sadler and Julie (Kent) Green; seven grandchildren: Miriam Green, Daniel (Julia) Green, Susanna Hall, Abbie Green, Betsy (Jeremiah) Smith, Lois (Rob) Berroyer, and Ethan (Abby) Green; and seven great-grandchildren: Izzy, Birdie, Lawson, Jack, Hazel, Goldie, and Louise.

Her family will receive friends and family on Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 5:00 - 6:00 P.M. at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main Street, Reynoldsburg, Ohio where her service will begin at 6:00 P.M. Her interment and graveside service will be held at 1:00 Friday, February 20 at Watertown Cemetery, 340 Watertown Road, Waterford, Ohio.
