Joanne L. Dunkel, left to go to her heavenly home on March 9, 2025. Joanne was a graduate of Bellefontaine High School class of 1948 and Ohio State University class of 1953.
She is survived by her husband, Richard L. Dunkel; daughter, Jennifer (Johnnie) Walters; son, James Tyler (Maria) Loeffert; daughters, Stephanie (Ed) Albright and Cassandra Loeffert; grandchildren, Chantz (Kendra) Walters, Spencer (Gina) Walters, Lafe (Brittany) Walters, Ryan (Tina) Albright, Lyndsay Albright, Jymi and Charlie Andorka and “8th grandson” Austin Walters (Matti); great-grandchildren Kami, Jenna, Johnie Duke, Ivy June, Finley, Piper and Emilia. Her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren in California - Ruben (Denise) Savannah, Jaylon, Xhaleen, Rimet, Roicy; Lilly, Donavin and Devin; Julius (Andrea), Julius, Jace and Jordan.
Joanne was a volunteer at the Bexley Thrift Shop and the Reynoldsburg Thrift Shop, a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Bexley, Ohio. She asked for no cut flowers, instead of sending flowers do a good deed.
Joanne’s family will receive friends on Sunday, March 23, 2025 from 4 to 7:00pm at the Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main St. Reynoldsburg, OH where her funeral service will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025 at 10:00am with Mr. John Walters and Pastor David Ritchie officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
