John C. Masterson

John C. Masterson 67, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio passed away Friday, November 12, 2021 at Mother Angeline McCroy Manor after an extended illness. John was born August 26, 1954 in Zanesville, Ohio to Russell H. and Anne M. Haenen Masterson. John attended Zanesville High School and graduated from Maysville High School Class of 1973. John also attended OUZ in Zanesville.

John married his wife, Dorothy J Horner Masterson, on November 10, 1979. They had one daughter Colette M Masterson. John had many managerial and customer service jobs in his career, the last being with Gardner Inc. in Columbus, Ohio.

John was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather Don Siedler.

Left to treasure his memory are his family: his wife, Dorothy; one of the greatest joys of his life, his daughter Colette M Masterson of Westerville, Ohio; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Phil and Kris Horner of Malta, Oh.; his very special nephew & nieces which he cherished dearly, Adam Wayne (Anna) Horner & family of McCutchenville, Oh.; Amanda Kay (Brion) Blankenship & family of Springfield, Oh.; and Melinda Sue (Jewett Jr) Racer & family of Malta, Oh. John is also survived by two special childhood friends, Stephen (Cathy) King of Baltimore, Oh. and Tim (Sherry) Wilkins of Zanesville, Oh.

Calling hours will be held from 4 – 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at the Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, Oh. with the Funeral Service immediately following at 6 p.m. Burial will be held on Sunday, November 21 at NOON at the Deerfield Cemetery in Malta, Oh. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of your choice or to the Deerfield Cemetery c/o Lucille Westfall, 4533 State Route 37, Malta, OH 43758.
