Johnnie M. Bowman

Johnnie M. Bowman, 89, of Johnstown, passed away on January 13, 2026. He was born in Proctorville, Ohio on October 4, 1936 to Virgil and Myrtle (Daniels) Bowman. He was an electrical tester for many years, but the love of his life was farming. He enjoyed being outdoors spending time on his tractor, hunting, and fishing. He was also a longtime Mason. He was preceded in death by his parents and four of his siblings. Johnnie is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Carolyn (Ayers) Bowman; children Mark A. (Lisa Stough) Bowman and Pam (Mark D.) Bowman; siblings Dallas, Phil, Karen, and Kay; grandchildren Zak Bowman, Jeremy (Clay) Bowman, Melissa (Andy) McFadden, and Nate (Amanda) Bowman; 6 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

His family will receive friends on Friday, January 16, from 1-2pm at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, with his funeral service to begin at 2pm. Graveside service to follow at Maplewood Cemetery.
