Julius Alfred Zari

Julius Alfred Zari, age 59, passed away at Doctors Hospital Wednesday evening, December 20, 2023. He was born on May 26, 1964, in Columbus, Ohio to Arturo and Dolores (Buchanan) Zari. Julius graduated from Reynoldsburg High School in 1982 and from The Ohio State University in 1989 with a B.S. in Ceramic Engineering. He was working as the intake coordinator for the Salvation Army at the time of his death. He was intelligent and artistic, and often saw the world in unique ways. He was a prolific composer of techno music, having uploaded many of his creations to Mixcloud. He is preceded in death by his parents, his long-time friend, Terry Powell, in 2006, and his beloved bulldogs Bowser, Paisley, and Gregory. He is survived by sisters Paula, Karen, Carol, and Jo as well as a niece and nephew. Arrangements by Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Julius' family will receive friends on Saturday, February 10 from 2:30-4:00 p.m. at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, Ohio with his service to follow at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Bob Mathias officiating.
