Kenneth Myers Obituary

The Lord Jesus Christ took Kenneth Clayton Myers Sr, 79, on November 19, 2025. Born in Columbus, Ohio, on February 11, 1946. Kenneth attended 11th Avenue Elementary, Linmore Junior High, and Linden McKinley High School. In his teens he worked at a bakery, machine shop, and a mannequin shop. He also worked for two years at the Ohio State employees gate.

He went into the US Army where he served from October 23, 1967 to August 8, 1968. He landed in Vietnam October 26, 1967, and was wounded on January 26, 1968. He was award the National Defense Medal, Marksman Badge/Rifle Bar, Combat, Infantry Badge, Vietnam Service Medal, and Military Order of the PURPLE HEART. After leaving the military, Kenneth went to Ohio State Barber College. He worked at Pam’s Barber Shop.

Kenneth married the love of his life, Marge on June 20, 1986. They began to grow their family of two children and three granddaughters they adore. They have been married 15 years, and his family was his heart.

He continued a life of service as he was a Sunday School Leader, Associate Pastor and Pastor of the FULL GOSPEL CHURCH in Rich Hill, Ohio from 1968 – 2003. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Club, Military Order of the Purple Heart, American Legion, Amvets, and Vietnam Veteran. He was Chaplin of MOPH Columbus Chapter 500 and American Legion Post 107 in Pataskala, Ohio.

Preceded in death by parents William and Mary E. Myers; brothers Ed, Tom, Roger, Ben, and George Myers; sisters Mary A. Chaffin, Dorothy Myers, Bertha Pennypacker, Sylvia Fent; special friends Dave Waring, Joe and Judy Thurston.

Survived by the love of his life, Marjorie “Marge,” children Kenneth C. Myers Jr. and Adrian C. (wife Joy) Myers, and granddaughters Mollie Sue Rose, Mary K, and Holy C. Myers; many more nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
